Nike CORTEZ is released back in 1972 Summer Olympics and is the first track shoe made by Nike. Co-founder Bill Bowerman determine to design a comfortable and durable running shoe, so he implemented leather upper, foam midsole and rubber outsole into the design. Cortez is soon adapted by the public and the feature of 1994 film made its popularity to its peak.
